8th Pay Commission Approved: AIBSNLPWA Requests Inclusion of BSNL/MTNL Pensioners in Terms of Reference
The Prime Minister's approval of the 8th Central Pay Commission (CPC) marks a historic moment for central government employees and pensioners. Recognizing the importance of this decision, the All India BSNL Pensioners' Welfare Association (AIBSNLPWA) has submitted a request to include BSNL/MTNL pensioners in the terms of reference for pension revision under the 8th CPC. BSNL/MTNL pensioners, governed under CCS (Pension) Rules, 2021, are unique among CPSE retirees as they receive pensions directly from Central Civil Estimates. In light of this, we have emphasized the need for equitable treatment for these pensioners, who have dedicated their lives to the telecommunications sector.
